When You've Exhausted Nutritional Healing, Look to Neurology

Uncategorized Aug 21, 2020
Nutritional Intolerances or Neurological Interferences - which is a bigger problem?

Over the past decade or so, there has been a massive improvement and "movement" in our understanding of how important the food we eat is, how things like gluten and dairy can be detrimental to our health, and most everyone today has heard of things such as #keto #paleo #whole30 and so forth.

At the same time, there has been another huge "movement" with the current generation of parents and families away from turning to medicine and as the first and only option, realizing that for a long time we've had a massive overuse of things like antibiotics, anti-inflammatories, and really almost every kind of drug out there.

Put simply, that movement towards "Natural Health" has really meant one towards Nutritional Intervention, Diet Changes, Supplementation, Detoxification and so forth! And this has been a very good thing for those who have taken it on, either helping...

Back to School Stay Strong Summit - Health & Wellness Discussion

For Night #3 of the Back to School "Stay Strong" Summit, we went straight to the heart of what started this whole mess - health and wellness. Well more specifically, lack thereof.

We know that those who go into a health crisis already sick and struggling, have the toughest time getting to the other side of it. That is true for challenges related to the immune system, as well as to our mental and emotional well-being.

Drs. Tony, Matt, and Ron from PWC are joined on this one by the one-and-only Jessica from Well-Rooted Pediatrics - and her insights and action steps on here are just so helpful to keep the health of your kids and family STRONG as school kicks off!

If you loved what you learned from this team and want even more, check out our next advanced workshops with the Docs and Jessica by visiting www.PWCImpact.com and getting registered for The Perfect Storm, Raising Healthy Kids, Kick the Sick, or any other workshop that your family needs!

Back to School Stay Strong Summit - Social Emotional Discussion

On Night #2 of the Back to School "Stay Strong" Summit, we brought in some amazing experts in the Social, Emotional, Behavioral Health world! Dr. Doug Neal, Mary Topolinski, and Beth Saip were just wildly helpful with their shared perspectives and action steps!

We've always known that especially children with these sort of challenges tend to struggle when school kicks off again, routines change, etc... with all that extra stress being on EXTRA this year, we've never needed this help and support more.

We covered a good bit of the science, neurology, and strategy behind helping kids calm their anxiety, regulate their emotions, improve behavior, and more on this Summit video... but if you're child has significant challenges in this department that you'd like to really double down and get more answers and more help for, then be sure to sign up for our next Perfect Storm Workshop.

You can register for that here: Perfect Storm Private Event Workshop

Parents, it's time to Kick the Sick for your family!

We’ve had a bit of a late start to spring here, but for many kids and families that hasn’t slowed down the congestion, irritation, allergies, and immune challenges from already kicking into high gear.

While we often hear of “seasons” for certain immune issues, the truth is that for many families their kids seem to battle recurring ear infections, non-stop sinus congestion, and chronic coughs almost all year round. They just can’t seem to “kick it” for good.

It all adds up to way too many trips to the pediatrician or even immediate care, and let’s be honest, those are not places we want to head to right now if we don’t really have to.

You’ve tried the antibiotics, have the inhalers, have gotten rid of gluten and dairy, and have a whole army of essential oils and supplements taking over your cabinets!

But, your child still struggles and can’t “kick it” no matter what you try.

If that’s your crew,...

We Are So, So Ready for the New Normal

The "New Normal" is trending, as the cool kids say. It’s got to be the 3rd most said phrase behind the "Stay Home" and "Stay Safe" phrases. And I am in favor of the new normal. Here’s why. According to the CDC, currently of the children living in the United States:

9.4% have ADHD

1 in 54 have Autism (far higher in boys)

210,000 have Diabetes

The rate of Type 2 Diabetes increased by 21%

1 in 3 are Overweight

7.1% have been diagnosed Anxiety

Also as the kids say, WTH?

That’s our current normal.

That was the 'old' new normal before Covid, and do you think being locked at home without physical activity, sports, socializing, etc. has helped them eat healthier, get physically fit, and calm their ADHD and anxiety?

What we all know is that the last 2-3 months will have absolutely accelerated the chronic illness in kids "curve" even more, which is alarming and sad. Not sure what could be more news worthy either, but it barely...
